EASYJET

easyJet vie with Ryanair for dominance of the low cost airline segment, serving cities across Europe and as far as the Levant / North Africa.  Mango people have worked on a variety of projects for this leading LCC.

easyJet achieved a step-change in scale in July 2002, with their acquisition of Go Fly Ltd using this as a springboard to secure a record-breaking Airbus fleet order deployed to attack the high fare duopolies prevailing on most European shorthaul routes.

Key participation in easyJet takeover of Go and more recently engaged in a restructuring of credit card arrangements:

  • Cross company project teams set-up to deliver key milestones of:
    • single AOC and Operation,
    • merged Commercial set-up,
    • organisation synergies and cost savings,
    • support to an airline that was doubling in size,
    • completion of ground-breaking strategic negotiation leading to planned switch from Boeing 737 fleet to Airbus
  • Card arrangement restructuring included:
    • establishing a common platform  supporting multiple acquirers and payment options,
    • Renegotiation of terms securing improvements in terms and efficiency.

"The emergence of LCC’s in the UK and Europe following deregulation has revolutionised air travel."
