Mango Aviation Partners designed, built and launched this new Saudi Arabia low-fares airline and managed the initial high growth phase, through to $+100m turnover, profitable operations and +600 staff.
Mango project-managed the set-up and successful launch including:
- Key role in raising in excess of $110m start-up capital
- Route network development
- Managed the creation of brand and brand values
- Extensive regulatory and licensing negotiations
- Setting up of cabin crew department, including the production of Cabin Safety & Training
Manuals approved by GACA
- Designed company organisation set-up, associated remuneration and reward structure and recruited leading LCC expertise into Saudi Arabia to take the airline forward
- Acquisition of x6 Boeing 737-300 fleet
Jet-a-One was contracted by Sama to review its existing fuel purchasing contractual arrangements and to develop a network wide buying strategy. This resulted in Jet-a-One managing the procurement of Sama's total fuel requirement across its entire domestic and international network, exceeding 15 cities.
- Delivered substantial cost reductions and greatly improved commercial terms.
- Performed a series of buying exercises, negotiating with government providers and independent fuel vendors to deliver the following results;
- Per gallon cost reductions (ave 9%)
- Removal of security deposits
- Improved invoicing cycle
- Improved credit terms
- Reduced risk through improved contractual position
- Overall our buying service saved c.$16m
